Day 1 – Arrival

  • • Transfer from Airport to Resort in Srinagar

Day 2 & 3 – A Sacred Pilgrimage to the Samkaropala (Shiva Sutra Rock)

  • • Breakfast at Resort
  • • Transfer to Fakir Gujri
  • • The Hike to Samkaropala will start from Fakir Gujri reaching halfway by ponies and then trekking to the Sacred site
  • • Packed Lunch will be served on the way to the Peak
  • • Base camp will be setup at the Lidwas Meadow where Pilgrims will stay overnight in shared camps
  • • Dinner at Base Camp
  • • Breakfast with Herbal Tea in the Morning while soaking in the picturesque views
  • • Trek towards the Sacred site
  • • Upon reaching the Sacred site Mediation and Satsang with Andrew Harvey at the Samkaropala
  • • Start the descend towards Base Camp
  • • Lunch at Base Camp
  • • Descend back to Fakir Gujri

Srikanthanatha, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, is said to have appeared in a dream to sage Vasugupta, guiding him to a sacred rock on Mahadeva Mountain containing secret doctrines. Upon visiting the site, the sage touched the rock, which turned over to reveal the Shiva Sutras engraved on it. This rock, known as Samkaropala, has since been a revered spot for meditation, attracting sages and ascetics.

Day 4 – A Day at Leisure in Srinagar

Day 7 – A walk through Kashmiri Shaivism

  • • Walk through the Ashram and Pray at Amriteshwara Temple at the Ashram
  • • Mughlai Lunch at Moti Mahal Restaurant near Ashram in Shalimar

Swami Lakshmanjoo (1907–1991) was a renowned master of Kashmiri Shaivism who dedicated his life to preserving and sharing its teachings. Through his translations and insights, he made this ancient philosophy accessible, emphasizing self-realization and divine consciousness.

Day 9 – Spirit of Temples

The Shankaracharya Temple sits atop the Takht-e-Suleiman hill at an elevation of 1,100 feet. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is believed to be the oldest place of worship in the Kashmir Valley.

Lalleshwari was a devotee of Lord Shiva and wrote many poems in Kashmiri, called "Vakhs". The Martand Sun Temple is an 8th-century temple dedicated to the Sun God, Surya, a masterpiece of Kashmiri architecture.

Day 12 – A Sufi Day

The Aishmuqam Shrine is dedicated to Sufi saint Baba Zain-ud-Din Rishi. Habba Khatoon, the "Nightingale of Kashmir," was a 16th-century poetess whose love story with King Yousuf Shah Chak began in Badamwari among blooming almond trees.

Day 13 – Sufi Music Night

  • ➢ Cancellation within 30-60 days of arrival is retained @ 50% with 50% refund.
